After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park to start off your game viewing experience in this magnificent park which is famous for its large variety of bird species (including flamingos and ostriches), lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, various antelopes. Most probably even before getting inside of the park, you will encounter troops of baboons. The beautiful Lake Manyara encompasses 2/3 of the park. A picnic-style lunch will be enjoyed during the day and in the late afternoon/early evening, you will be transferred to your tented camp/lodge/campsite where you will be having dinner and spending the night.
You will have an early breakfast and head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa. After your morning game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at the Hippo Pool Picnic site before you continue with game viewing. The crater is a wonderful safari destination, but it is not very large, just 20 km in diameter, so in half day all will be seen. We then ascend out of the crater and you will be transferred back to your tented camp/lodge/campsite where you will be spending the night and enjoying dinner.
After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire National Park. This park has the highest concentration of elephants in Africa. Giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, and others are all present. Giant baobab trees and large termite mounds dot the landscape. The Tarangire River, which winds its way through the park provides the only water source in the area. During dry periods, many animals line the banks to refresh. We will pause for a picnic-style lunch and continue game viewing until mid-afternoon when we head back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport/Moshi for the end of the itinerary.
